Objectives of the Alexander Tansman Association for the Promotion of Culture:

Promotion of culture, arts and humanities; organisation of cultural events, including the Alexander Tansman International Festival and Competition of Musical Personalities.

Promotion of the city of Łódź, its cultural heritage and the most remarkable artists and young talents originating from the city.

International exchange of school youth and students via courses, competitions, research projects and other academic and cultural projects.

Preservation and support of activities that aim at preserving and protecting monuments of culture on the European level as well as the level of local cultural identity.

Out of our distinctions it is enough to mention the First Prize at the Pro Publico Bono Competition (2005) in the category of "Culture and National Heritage." Initiative of Jan Nowak-Jeziorański, the Pro Publico Bono Competition was chaired by Jerzy Buzek, Andrzej Stelmachowski, Jan Twardowski, Andrzej Zoll and Henryk Mikołaj Górecki.
